A dated stone built fireplace was removed and the fire opening enlarged to accommodate a new wood burning stove.

A solid oak beam was installed for a lovely aesthetic look, positioned far enough away from the stove to comply with regulations regarding combustable materials.

Shuttering was made up and a new concrete hearth base was constructed.

The chimney breast was re-plastered and a new slate hearth covering was laid.

The new wood burning stove was installed and connected to a new flexible lining system.
